West Mediterranean Exporters Union (BAIB) participated in thefair in Azerbaijan's capital Baku to promote fresh fruits and vegetables, food and agricultural machinery products. The BAIB booth was selected as the best stand of the World Food Azerbaijan Exhibition.

BAIB continues to participate in the fair around the world to increase export. In this context,BAIB finally joined World Food Azerbaijan Fair with a stand of 30 m² from May 21-23.

BAIB Board Member Mr. Ali Demir and BAIB Secretary General Mrs. Fisun Evrensevdi Pektas represented the West Mediterranean region.

BAIB booth was selected as the best booth of the fair, in means of design, BAIB Board Member Mr. Ali Demir received the best stand certificate.

World Food Azerbaijan Fair is an important meeting point for the Caspian Sea region's food, beverages, food production and technology sector by means of production, logistics, marketing and sales.

Last year, 251 companies from nearly 36 countries attended and the exhibition was visited by 6954sector professionals. The BAIB booth was visited by representatives of the sector from Turkic Republics and Asian countries, especially Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan President Mr. Ilham Aliyev opened the fair. In the fair, the BAIB stand was visited by Baku Embassy Commercial Counsellor Mr. Cengiz Türkay, Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry officers, Azerbaijan International Society of Turkish Industrialists and Businessmen (TUSIAD) Assistant Secretary General Mr. Samed Haciyev.
